General Summary:   Cultivate and solicit planned gift donors, prospects and selected financial professionals in assigned chapters for the Southeast region. (Florida)Essential Job Functions
Assist assigned chapters in implementing a planned gift program, working with the chapters and their staff members to discover donors and prospects and, coordinating with appropriate staff, help those donors and prospects make planned gifts.
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit donors and prospective donors through personal visits and by other means.
  • Work with attorneys, CPA's, insurance and other financial professionals to help facilitate planned and other gifts to the Association.
  • Develop strategies to meet planned gift and revenue objectives and increase the number of planned gift donors, including Founder's Society members.
  • Participate in the writing and production of promotional and marketing materials.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for region.
  • Use fundraising software for donor record keeping purposes and in providing gift proposals.
  • Participate in the orientation of volunteers, assist in staffing appropriate committees and subcommittees of the National and Chapter Boards, and provide other staff support as needed.
  • Assist in the administration of donor recognition activities, such as the Founder's Society, in region.
  • Prepare monthly reports for internal and external reporting purposes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Advanced degree and/or specialized training in planned gifts, major gifts, estate planning, or financial planning.
  • A minimum of two years experience in development, major and/or planned gifts, or in estate or financial planning.
  • Experience with computer based donor tracking software and/or planned gift or financial analysis software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of investments, planned gift vehicles, tax codes, and or fund raising.
  • Able to travel as needed within assigned area.
